The 35-year-old forward has come off the bench in 12 of the other 16 league games so far this term.

He told BBC Radio Nottingham: "It is part of the course when you come to a big club like Nottingham Forest. There are lots of good strikers.

"You have to wait for a chance and we are all pulling in the same direction."

Adebola, who is in the last year of his contract, has struggled to win a regular spot at the City Ground since joining from Bristol City in June 2009.

The former Birmingham and Coventry striker has started just 14 league games and has been linked with a move away from the club. But boss Billy Davies is keen to keep him, even though he sees him as a back-up to Dexter Blackstock and Rob Earnshaw.
