League One Rochdale will be favourites to progress from next week's replay after an injury and illness-hit side battled to a goalless draw at Conference club Aldershot on Saturday.
The Shots' however have already beaten Portsmouth in the First Round this season.
Aldershot Town Chairman Shahid Azeem, quoted on the Get Hampshire website, said: “If next week goes well, it would be great. I’ve been told Nottingham Forest haven't played here before, it would be good to get them down here.”
Although promotion remains the focus for Forest, manager Stuart Pearce's history with the FA Cup should mean he is unlikely to take any game lightly in the competition.
