The 28-year-old forward made his England debut on Wednesday night with a cameo role in the friendly against France, a call-up earned after firing Cardiff to the top of the Championship table.
"I'm happy that I'm in the history books," said the former Coventry City man.
"Obviously, it's back to Championship now, this weekend.
"That's what I'm concentrating on and hopefully I can get invited back in the future."
Last season's corresponding fixture was a very watchable televised 1-1 draw in which Bothroyd's opener for Cardiff was cancelled out by a Lewis McGugan strike in the final minute of the game.
