Barnsley boss eyes more consistency

A promising start to the campaign has been tempered by some recent poor results which have seen Mark Robins' side slip down to 15th in the Championship ahead of their home game with the Reds.

"We had a much better performance against Scunthorpe," said Robins, quoted in the Sheffield Star.

"It was good to go there and work hard for a point. But we need some stability and we'll be working hard at that before our next game.

"You're always going to have a dip in form, but I've been pleased with a lot of things I've seen. It's about maintaining those high standards..."

The Reds automatic promotion hopes took a hit in last season's corresponding fixture when Barnsley ran out 2-1 winner in mid-March at Oakwell, Dexter Blackstock scoring the Reds' consolation goal.
