Bertrand banned for Forest

Last updated : 22 October 2010

Ryan Bertrand is suspended for Nottingham Forest`s home game against Ipswich.

The on-loan full-back collected his fifth yellow card of the season during the midweek victory over Middlesbrough and must serve a one-match ban. Boss Billy Davies, who could be back in the dug-out after a viral infection forced him to miss the last two matches, has several options to replace the Chelsea defender.

Joel Lynch is a natural deputy, while midfielder Chris Cohen has regularly been asked to fill in at full-back. Chris Gunter could switch sides but that would leave a void to fill at right-back. Nathan Tyson (knee) remains out along with fellow forward Robert Earnshaw, who is not yet ready to return despite making good progress in his recovery from a calf problem.
