Blades Confirm Forest Striker Interest

Johnson is reportedly keen to leave the City Ground after an alleged fall-out with new manager Gary Megon and the Blades are one of a number of clubs who have expressed an interest in the 28-year-old striker.

"David is a player I like and I'm always looking to improve the squad," Warnock told Radio Sheffield.

"We've made Forest aware we're interested. It doesn't look like he'll be involved again there this season.

"If they're going to loan him out it might be as well to loan him out to a team who are going to be playing teams around them."
