Bolton First For Billy

Last updated : 13 February 2013 By Forest

Billy Davies starts his second spell in charge of the Reds after being named as the third permanent manager at the City Ground this season to follow Sean O'Driscoll and Alex McLeish.

A healthy crowd is expected to see if the Scot can arrest the recent slump in results that has magnified the decision to part company with O'Driscoll on Boxing Day.

Forest and Bolton have met on 83 previous occasions, check out the full head-to-head record by clicking below.

Davies held his first press call on Monday and said: "I am very confident, having spoken to the board.

"I've got no doubt in my mind that these people will do all they can do get the club to the Premier League. That's why I'm here and I'm very much looking forward to it.

"You have your discussions as normal. I'm not a fool. I may speak to the chairman regarding players. We'll try and find the right type with the right financial package and if that can happen then I'm sure we'll do all we can to get that player."

Updated - Bolton boss Dougie Freedman is aiming to stop the return of Davies being a winning one. He told the Bolton News: "There are lots of things to take into consideration; condition of the pitch, the new manager, and how Forest shape up.

"Ultimately, I’ll pick players according to how they train and fit into that."
