Johnson was forced to delay naming his side due to a virus that swept through the Bristol City camp but told his club's website: "In spite of all the problems the team gave another really hard-working display and did enough to deserve all three points.

"Both goals were well taken, but I felt Forest's came against the run of play and was their only shot of the second half."
