Calderwood feels the heat

A lack of new signings in January was the backdrop to Saturday's defeat at struggling Bournemouth, another hammer blow for the Reds' automatic promotion hopes.

"At the moment our away performances are far too varied, it is hurting us and to go seven games without winning is not acceptable. Teams at the bottom do not do that," said Calderwood afterwards.

"This will be a massive learning curve because you always remember afternoons like that. They do happen from time to time but the key is how you handle them.

"Perhaps we believe we are much better than we should be and Bournemouth looked a little more aggressive and we were second best in so many areas.

"I am still proud and privileged to be in the position we are but we cannot afford to have that performance too often."
