The 21-year-old, who made seven appearances during his month's stay, is surplus to requirements at Spotland following the signing of Ernie Cooksey from Oldham on a free transfer.
The Irish winger is a regular in the reserves and will be looking to break through into Joe Kinnear's first-team plans but gained valuable experience at the League Two side.
