"After Sammy Clingan was sent off they dominated the rest of the first-half and it became difficult to get back into the game," said the Scot after seeing his side reduced to nine men and slip out of the automatic promotion places.

"We tried to get a goal back but when we went down to nine men it was tough to construct a way back into the match.

"This is a low ebb in the terms of the season for us, I hope that this is the lowest point."
