Chelsea & the World Cup coming, Billy not going!

The Reds' youngsters have been drawn against Chelsea in the 4th Round of the FA Youth Cup and will host the Stamford Bridge starlets in January.

Forest eased past Bury Town in Round 3 while Chelsea were winners at Charlton.

Nottingham has been chosen as a host city should England's bid to host the World Cup in 2018 be successful.

One of twelve candidate cities to be chosen, Nottingham's bid is based on Forest's planned new stadium.

"England's fortunate to have so many good stadia and I would like to congratulate all of the applicant host cities for the seven months of really hard work they have put in," said England 2018 deputy chairman Brian Mawhinney.

The Reds meanwhile have laughed off reports that QPR and Sheffield United have recently made requests to speak to Billy Davies about managerial posts at the respective clubs, with Jim Magilton currently suspended at Loftus Road and Kevin Blackwell having previously been under pressure at Bramall Lane.

Elsewhere in the Championship there is now a vacancy in the hot-seat at Reading after the sacking of Brendan Rodgers. The Royals join Sheffield Wednesday in searching for a new boss.
