He told the club website: "We were disappointed to miss out on the play-offs, but we shouldn't lose sight of the fact we finished the season on a real high.
"We had a great run and put a great run of results together and that's a positive we can take into next season.
"We worked hard to give ourselves a chance of clinching a play-off spot and have given people hope for next season."
