Cotterill happy to have 'breathing space'

"I'm happy now that it's over," he said after seeing the Reds return from their trip to Blackpool with three points to add to the win over Middlesbrough in midweek.

"In the first half I thought we were very good and a threat every time we went forward.

"In the second half they came into it a bit more and late on we thought we might have to go into a back five."

Opposite number Ian Holloway felt his side had deserved more from the game and was left 'bitterly disappointed' by the result.

"I'll take the positives," he said. 

"We were better than on Tuesday but it just didn't quite happen for us."
