Cotterill makes case for Forest defence

Despite plenty of problems in scoring goals this season, City Ground boss Steve Cotterill has opted to focus his moves in the loan market recently on the defensive trio of George Elokobi, Danny Higginbotham and Scott Wootton, with all three set for debuts against Watford on Saturday.

Higginbotham in particular will bring plenty of experience to bear on Forest's relegation fight and with Luke Chambers also back in action there looks to be a solid base for Cotterill to work with.

Watford lost top scorer Marvin Sordell in the transfer window but despite that gained a vital win over Barnsley last time out.

Midfielder John Eustace told the Watford Observer: "We have a very strong group and when players leave we stick together."
