Joel Lynch is a doubt after sustaining a back injury in the weekend draw with QPR.
"Joel came off with a really stiff back. He didn't train on Monday and he doesn't look good for Tuesday night and he's touch and go for the weekend," Billy Davies told the club's official website.
The Rams meanwhile have a potential striker shortage with Steve Davies also sustaining a weekend injury and Luke Varney out on loan at Sheffield Wednesday.
Boss Nigel Clough may make a loan signing this week.
