Derby countdown: Tyson test before possible Forest return

Last updated : 12 September 2011 By Forest

Having left Nottingham Forest for Derby in the summer the striker has found himself frustrated by a groin injury in his bid to make an impact for his new employers. Now back in training, Tyson is set to feature against Leicester City on Tuesday in a game set up to test his fitness.

If he comes through that then Nigel Clough may decide to start with the player in Saturday's eagerly anticipated City Ground clash given that his side looked short of options in attack in their televised defeat at Coventry.

Tyson ended his five-and-a-half year stay with the Reds over the summer when accepting the Rams' offer of a three-year contract.

"Derby County is a club with big ambitions and I want to be part of it," he told his new club's official website at the time.

"I'm ambitious myself and want to play at the highest level, I think we can achieve that here."
