Don't panic: Forest a point better off!

Billy Davies again reiterated the need for new signings after Saturday's 1-1 draw away to Reading left his side with two points from their opening three fixtures.

This time last season however the Reds were one point worse off, having similarly drawn away to Reading before suffering home defeats against West Brom and Watford.

Norwich are the next visitors to the City Ground after which comes the international break, the closure of the transfer window and the deadline for Premier League clubs to name their 25-man squads for the first few months of the season, which could lead to potential loan deals for Championship sides.

One way or another matters may come to a head between Davies and his board during this period, with Sunday's newspapers containing a spicy-looking link between Martin O'Neill and his former club!
