Earnie relishing Dexter partnership

Earnshaw is now level on goals with Blackstock after netting his 13th of the season in Saturday's 1-0 win over Peterborough.

"We haven't got a battle going off at all. Me and Dex don't really discuss it," Earnshaw told the Nottingham Evening Post. "I think that shows that all we want to do is be a part of the team.

"If he is in a better position than me, I will look to pass to him and if I am in a better position, I think he would try to pass to me. We try to play together, which is probably the reason why we have got so many goals between us.

"We are always trying to play together and connect. That is something you need with a strike partner. But we are just enjoying it at the minute and the more goals we score the better. We both just want the team to get as many goals as possible."

Forest are still eight points off the automatic promotion places but Earnshaw insists the team have not given up their battle of catching second-placed West Brom.

He added: "We want to push people to the limit. This team never gives up and we are not done yet. We are going to do our very best to put the pressure on West Brom, without a doubt."
