John Metgod is the new first-team coach at Portsmouth

"As a player, I had four beautiful years (in England) and I am looking forward to working in full stadiums every week and with the best players," the 50-year-old told BBC Sport after leaving a scouting role at Feyenoord.

"The chance to return to the highest level in England is appealing to me."
