Forest have completed the signing of former Doncaster midfielder Simon Gillett – and he was named in the starting line-up to face Aston Villa today.
The Reds in fact included all five of their summer additions in the team, with Dan Harding, Greg Halford and Danny Collins making up three of the back four, alongside Brendan Moloney.
While Adlene Guedioura, the £1m signing from Wolves, was included in midfield alongside Gillett who links up with manager Sean O'Driscoll for a second time.
Gillett, 26, was a free agent after seeing his Doncaster contract expire.
