The Dagenham & Redbridge man has netted 10 goals despite his side's problems at the foot of the table.
Daggers boss John Still has denied a bid has already come in from the City Ground and hopes that remains the case.
"We have not received a bid," Still said. "We're not in a position to enter into talks with anyone.
"We have worked very hard with him this year and Brian doesn't need stories about him."
23-year-old Woodall has played non-league football in both England and Germany, earning his chance in the Football League with a move to Dagenham last summer.
