Forest no longer loan arrangers

It was a case of needs must for the Scot after taking over from Colin Calderwood, with a host of temporary signings drafted in to guide the Reds away from relegation trouble.

Dexter Blackstock and Chris Gunter in particular impressed with their displays and Davies wants them back next season but on a more permanent basis.

"I am going to meet with the board this week and discuss things," he told the club's official website.

"I want to build a team for the future, work with players for months and years, to develop a team over a period of time rather than having to rely on loans and chopping and changing."

Lincoln City meanwhile are keen to sign freed Forest youngster Hamza Bencherif, who spent time on loan with the Imps earlier in the season.
