Forest striker wants permanent Leeds move

King is approaching the end of a three-month loan spell at Elland Road but has started only three games for Leeds and missed the chance of his first goal for the Whites when seeing his penalty saved by Ian Walker during Sunday's game at Leicester.

Leeds manager Kevin Blackwell has already signed strikers David Healy and Ian Moore this season and is keen to tie up a permanent deal for Rob Hulse.

That leaves King in limbo with Gary Megson unlikely to want him at the City Ground and the 25-year-old said: "I'd like to play more, but the manager has obviously got his ideas.

"We'll see how things are in the summer and where I am then.

"I'm here until the end of the season, but I still have three years left at Forest.

"Their relegation won't affect anything and it'll be up to them.

"The gaffer knows I'd like to stay here and we've spoken about a few things, but it's down to Forest."
