Reports in South Wales suggest that the 22-year-old Gambian could be allowed to leave temporarily for the final few weeks of the season after finding himself on the fringes of the Swansea side recently.
Having moved to the Premier League club from Ostersunds FK of Sweden in the summer of 2014, Barrow has since made nine first-team appearances and scored his first goal in the FA Cup win at Tranmere Rovers in January.
Also that month he signed a contract until 2018 with the Swans having initially joined on a short-term deal.
