The big striker is still feeling the knee problem that forced him to miss the win over his former club Crystal Palace.
Captain Paul McKenna could come back into the side. After missing four matches with a groin injury, the midfielder was on the bench against Palace and the postponement of the Boxing Day trip to Middlesbrough has given him time to make a full recovery.
Striker David McGoldrick is still nursing a knee injury and will remain on the sidelines.
If Forest avoid defeat they will have gone through the whole of 2010 without losing a league game at the City Ground.
