"They are coming off the back of a great win in Cardiff and they deserved to win according to our scouts," Foxes boss Sven Goran Eriksson told the Leicester Mercury ahead of the big East Midlands derby, in which his side, boosted by the signings of Chris Kirkland and Roman Bednar will look to bounce back from defeat at Bristol City..

"They played very well. It is a huge game and an important one for the club, our ambitions and our fans.

"It is a big derby. I expect a huge crowd and a great atmosphere and, hopefully, a win. But we have to play very good football if we want to win."

Forest meanwhile should be in buoyant mood after toppling Cardiff on their own patch and sealing deadline deals for Aaron Ramsey and Marcus Tudgay.

"I am pleased for the fans, for the dressing room and for everyone at the club," said Billy Davies, quoted in the Nottingham Evening Post about his new signings.

"The timing is right, with regards to our current squad and the depth we have and also because it will give everyone a lift. It is a great opportunity for both players, because this is a great place to play, the City Ground. But we are certainly delighted to have them."
