Former boss: Forest still a top job

The former City Ground manager knows that there will be plenty of competition for the Reds as they search for a new boss, with top jobs available at Charlton, Middlesbrough and a number of Championship sides this summer.

However he told the Evening Post: "I still believe that the job of managing Nottingham Forest is one of the more attractive ones.

"It is not an easy job but with the resources they have and the position they are in, it is an attractive prospect.

"I would certainly have them as one of the hot favourites to do something next season."
