Former Manchester United Starlet Makes Forest Switch

The deal, which is subject to international clearance, represents another opportunity for 24-year-old Macheda to kickstart a career that began in a blaze of glory at Manchester United but has stalled since to the extent that he has yet to start a Championship game this season.

His record against Nottingham Forest is a decent one, however, Macheda scoring for Cardiff against the Reds last season and netting twice for Doncaster Rovers in September 2013 while on loan at the Keepmoat Stadium.

With Nelson Oliveira suffering a groin injury and no deal now going ahead for Andre Moritz, Dougie Freedman will be delighted to have another body available to him, hopefully in time for Saturday's game at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
