- Northampton chairman David Cardoza does not expect former Forest targets Jason Crowe and Mark Bunn to leave Sixfields in January.

He told the Chronicle & Echo: "Jason's very happy here and he wants to stay.

"The Nottingham Forest thing always seems to rear its head, but Colin (Calderwood) didn't mention anything to me when I saw him a couple of weeks ago."

- Kevin James has left Woking after failing to agree a new contract with the Blue Square Premier side.

- Eugen Bopp has been told he can leave Crewe Alexandra in January. The ex-Reds man moved to Gresty Road from Rotherham in the summer.

- Forest reserves were impressive 5-1 winners over West Brom on Monday. Trialist Paul Taylor, a striker from Vauxhall Motors, netted in the opening minute of the game.
