"In Gareth We Trust"

With in looming departure of David Johnson, Gareth Taylor has been told by Forest manager, Gary Megson that he will remain the captain of the club's first team after being the captain for the past two games in the absense of previous captain, Michael Dawson who completed a dream move to Tottenham before the transfer deadline.

Megson has this to say about the captaincy and Taylor as a player, "I think he's the ideal captain, he's respected by everybody at the club, including myself. He's a great lad and a decent player".

Megson thinks that Taylor has done well in his role as a centre back after taking up the role only a few weeks ago. Megson added "I feel quite sorry for him, he's a striker by trade but we're very sparse in that area of the field but he's done very well for himself".
