Former Forest midfielder Jermaine Jenas has been called up to the England squad for the friendly against Australia at Upton Park.

Jenas, who moved to Newcastle for £5m last January, has been rewarded for his performances in recent weeks which has seen him grab four goals in five games for the geordies.

Fellow Newcastle team-mate Kieron Dyer is also included along with Everton's wonderkid Wayne Rooney.

"JJ" rose to fame at The City Ground and is still regularly seen at Forest matches. It is believed Sven Goran Eriksson will play Jenas for at least 45 minutes as he looks towards the future of English football.
