The former Luton manager, who has led the Reds to an unbeaten home run since taking over from Paul Hart, called referee Phil Crossley "pathetic" and a "complete clown" after Forest's 2-1 defeat at Gillingham in March.

He told the NEP: "I am never going to be one of those managers who doesn't say what he thinks but I know I should have done it in the proper manner.

"I stated my case and was found guilty but there was no fine and it was good there is no touchline ban."

Forest's final game of the season is against runners-up West Bromich Albion on Sunday 9 May which kicks-off at 1pm.
