Late Norwich show leaves Forest six adrift

After spending the weekend watching rivals Swansea, Cardiff, Leeds and Forest stutter in their games Norwich made no such mistake at home to Bristol City on Monday night although not for the first time this season they left it late at Carrow Road.

Lansbury and Surman scored in the final few minutes to secure a 3-1 win that takes Norwich up to second place in the table with a haul of 66 points from their 37 games.

Burnley can increase the pressure on the Reds from underneath when they play one of their games in hand at home to Coventry City on Tuesday night.

Victory for the Clarets against the managerless Sky Blues would see just one point off the play-off places.
