Simon Grayson sent out a strong side for Tuesday's League Cup clash with Lincoln City and was rewarded with a comfortable victory and a good warm-up for their trip to Nottingham.
He told his club's official website afterwards: "The third goal killed the game off but we had to use the second half as preparation for Sunday's game by being hard to beat, keeping the ball and breaking quickly.
"The players responded in a good manner."
