Managerial merry-go-round set to swing into action

Middlesbrough and Charlton are the two Premiership sides currently without a boss and both have indicated that they will go for a British manager.

In the Championship, Ipswich, Derby and now Crystal Palace are all looking for a new man at the helm, while the likes of Luton, Preston, Southend and Colchester are all hoping that their managers' stay where they are.

The current front-runners for the Forest job look to come from outside the usual names in the frame for those other posts, with Ian McParland, Nigel Clough and Roy Keane probably still the likely contenders.

But if an appointment is to be made outside of those three, it will probably have to wait until some of the clubs in higher divisions have made their minds up.
