"We scored a goal which may look scrappy and the goalkeeper will be disappointed but he has had to play well for the rest of the game," said Reds boss Colin Calderwood.

"He pulled off some very fine catches and shut the gate from a free-kick by Kris Commons.

"He has done his job but unfortunately he will be remembered for letting a soft goal in."

Opposite number Martin Ling commented: "A goalkeeping error has cost us the game.

"He made two good saves but he will be remembered for that which he should have made and was probably easier than those he did make.

"Defensively I thought we stuck at it well and it looked a 0-0 game."
