Megson delighted with player's response

With eight games to go Forest are four points from safety in the Championship but have a game in hand on a number of teams around them and face four of their relegation rivals on the run-in to the season.

Megson told the BBC that although staying up remains a massive task he was pleased with how the Reds had done since his arrival.

"I'm pleased with how the players have reacted since I came in, they've given it a right go in every game and you can't ask for more than that," said Megson.

"You have to insist on the players showing fight and working hard, that's the only way it will happen.

"I've yet to see a successful team that doesn't work hard and I've yet to see a successful manager that doesn't demand it."
