Forest remain five points from safety after Gillingham's draw with Ipswich but still have a game in hand and Megson said afterwards: "We deserve credit for keeping going after conceding what was a very bad goal from our point of view.
"We earned a point against a very good side who are where they are on merit.
"We still have to improve if we are to stay up but we are nearer to survival than four weeks ago. It's going to be interesting if nothing else now."
