Megson pleased with Forest response

Nathan Tyson's first goal for the Reds secured all three points at the City Ground and went some way to erasing the memory of Saturday's FA Cup defeat at the hands of Chester City.

"In the circumstances that followed what happened at the weekend, I thought the performance was a good one," said Megson after the game.

"The onus was on us to attack and we tried to pass the ball but although we got the goal that mattered, it was just disappointing that we could not come up with a second.

"We know that we can improve but we can't sink to the depths when we suffer a setback.

"It's important to reduce the size of the highs and lows because no game is easy for us. We need a bit of patience but we are not in a position where patience is in ready supply."
