Megson told BBC Radio Nottingham: "We got up a clean sheet on Saturday, then against City we went behind and won for the first time since I've been here.
"I thought at times during the first half we looked a really good side.
"We tried to be a bit too fancy and got into trouble again but there's no doubt that we are improving."
