Middlesbrough Provide Strong Test For Resurgent Forest

Nottingham Forest return home following two excellent away victories that have transformed the mood around the club and once again they are live in front of the television cameras against a side hotly tipped for promotion from the Championship this season.

Dougie Freedman kept to his word and changed a winning side for the midweek trip to Birmingham. His reward was another three points and a winning goal for Dexter Blackstock, one of the players brought back into the fold.

Another shuffling of the pack is likely on Saturday against a Middlesbrough team who have a host of options themselves in attacking areas as recent results have shown.

Last season's beaten play-off finalists come into the game on the back of home victories against MK Dons and Brentford with Christhian Stuani, Albert Adomah, David Nugent and Stewart Downing all having got their names on the scoresheet.

Deadline signing Carlos de Pena is also now available to manager Aitor Karanka and experienced winger Downing told the official MFC website this week: "We've always been confident we can get results.

"Goals are what you need. It gives the team confidence. It’ll take time for players to bed in, but we’re still winning games."
