NFFC Transfers: Can Forest Find A Third Goalscorer?

Last updated : 28 April 2015 By Forest

The Forest boss is hoping to hit the ground running with potential new signings, despite the restrictions placed on the club for breaches of the Financial Fair Play rules.

The forward line is one his areas to strengthen as the Reds look to add a third goalscoring threat to that of Michail Antonio and Britt Assombalonga.

A look at promoted duo Watford (Vydra, Ighalo, Deeney) and Bournemouth (Wilson, Kermorgant, Pitman) shows that another option, from the bench or due to injury can make all the difference in addition to goals from midfield where Henri Lansbury has weighed in with double figures.

Quoted in the Nottingham Post on Monday, Freedman said: "Those players who are calm in front of goal are the expensive ones, but I have picked up that type of player in the past, on a free transfer."

He gave the example of Glenn Murray, signed by Freedman when he was in charge at Crystal Palace.
