Nottingham Forest Search for Goals During International Break

The decision to sack Dougie Freedman, with just eleven games remaining of the Championship season, looked harsh when it was done and the two matches played since then have done little to change that opinion.

Forest have battled hard away to two promotion-chasing sides and come out with a 1-1 draw at Hull City and another narrow 1-0 defeat against Derby County on Saturday.

Like Freedman before him, Williams can only work with the players at his disposal and, in addition to the transfer restrictions placed on the club, injury problems have reduced the Reds attacking options severely.

A change in manager or system may be able to change that to a certain extent in the short-term but nothing beats the ability to call upon better players.

In that, Williams may be in luck as Britt Assombalonga and Henri Lansbury are set to be available to him for the Brentford game on April 2nd.
