Nottm Forest V Reading at The City Ground - Match Preview

Forest missing Cohen

Captain Chris Cohen has been added to Nottingham Forest's injury list ahead of the visit of Reading.

Cohen suffered cruciate knee ligament damage during the 1-1 home draw with Sky Bet Championship leaders Burnley last weekend and will miss the remainder of the season.

The versatile 26-year-old, who is comfortable at full-back or in midfield, joins centre-halves Kelvin Wilson (back) and Danny Collins (ankle) as a long-term absentee and Reds boss Billy Davies is working to bring in defensive cover on loan ahead of Friday night's fixture.

Greg Halford, who has been used in a variety of positions so far this season, and midfielders Andy Reid and David Vaughan will be checked ahead of kick-off after all three players missed out against Burnley.

Sean Morrison has been added to Reading's lengthy injury list.

Morrison has been ruled out until the new year after he suffered a knee injury in training.

He joins fellow defender Wayne Bridge (knee), midfielders Jem Karacan (cruciate) and Mikele Leigertwood (ankle) and striker Jason Roberts (hip) on the sidelines.

Boss Nigel Adkins will also check on Hal Robson-Kanu, who missed out against Blackburn last weekend through illness, and fellow winger Royston Drenthe whose return from a foot injury was put on hold after he suffered a knock in training.
