Nottm Forest V Watford at The City Ground - Match Preview

Davies facing defensive dilemma

Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies will be hoping his recent defensive crisis will have eased when they entertain Watford at the City Ground.

Danny Collins and Eric Lichaj both returned for last weekend's FA Cup clash with Preston and should be available again, while Jamaal Lascelles recovered sufficiently from a knee injury to take his place on the bench for the 0-0 draw with the Sky Bet League One side.

Henri Lansbury will definitely be unavailable though as the midfielder serves the final game of a two-match ban for picking up his 10th yellow card of the season during the 4-1 win against Blackburn.

Long-term absentees Chris Cohen (knee), Dexter Blackstock (also knee) and Kelvin Wilson (back) remain sidelined.

Watford boss Giuseppe Sannino could also have a number of potential selection headaches.Lewis McGugan (thigh) and Iriney (groin) both missed the weekend FA Cup defeat at Manchester City and remain doubtful.

Tommie Hoban returned to the bench at the Etihad Stadium following a long-standing ankle injury and could be involved, while Arsenal loanee Hector Bellerin is definitely available after being cup-tied for that clash.

Former Milan and Genoa midfielder Alexander Merkel could make only his second start for the Hornets after seeing red on his debut against Reading more than two weeks ago
