Opposition reaction

The Sheffield United boss was left to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw after Kris Commons had given Forest a surprise lead just after half-time.

Alan Quinn equalised for the Blades and Warnock said afterwards: "We've had 17 chances and 12 on target."

"You can't ask any more. The pitch was terrible and we tried to play as much as we could.

"There's one or two disappointed players in there but if you don't win the game you have to come away with something."

Despite continuing his war of words with Gary Megson after the game Warnock did praise Forest skipper Gareth Taylor for his performance both up front and then in defence, saying: "I thought Taylor was superb.

"He wanted to do it probably because it's Sheffield, but both up front and at the back he was excellent."
