The Feyenoord free-kick specialist is claiming more than £15,000 in alleged unpaid bonuses.

The claim will be taken up in the Queens Bench Division of the High Court in London but he will not be including any issues under the Human Rights Act (1998).

Hooijdonk, who finished as Forest's top goalscorer in the 97/98 season when they were promoted to The Premiership, went on strike for three months in 1999. He was believed to be upset and hurt following the sale of then club captain Colin Cooper to Middlesbrough and his strike partner Kevin Campbell.

He remains Forest's highest transfer fee paid following his £4.5m switch from Glasgow Celtic in 1997.
