Most votes so far have been for two players, Ian Breckin and Nathan Tyson - here's a sample of the reasons why.

'Ian Breckin for dominating the box and scoring important goals and challenging for top scorer!' - from Neil Carpenter.

'Player of the season has to be Ian Breckin!!! solid at the back and can also score goals. He is also a great leader of the team.you reds!!!!!!!!' - from Nathan Cochrane.

'Ian Breckin for player of the year. He''s scored numerous goals, been solid throughout at the back and is a great leader as captain. Clearly player of the year.' - from Sam Carter.

'Player of the year - Nathan Tyson the team has started to show passion since his arrival plus his goals have enabled us to close the gap on a play off spot.' - from Del Boy.

'I think Nathan Tyson should be player of the season. Not only has he got electric fast pace, but he is very skilful and strong, and can turn brilliantly on the ball, in a "Collymore-esque" fashion.' - from Rich Jenkins.

Lots of mentions for Nicky Southall as well as runner-up to either Breckin or Tyson and a few for Kris Commons.
