Reid hands in transfer request

The 22-year-old, who has been the subject of Premiership interest since January, has criticised the chairman in recent weeks and looks set to leave the club where he made his name.

Nottingham Forest Football Club has refused to comment so far but the unsettled winger could well head for White Hart Lane providing the price is right.

Forest chairman Nigel Doughty will refuse any offer below Reid's £5m asking price and expects a sell-on clause to be included, similar to the deals that took David Prutton to Southampton and Jermaine Jenas to Newcastle.

Tottenham had a £3m offer rejected last week after their £5m bid plus Rohan Ricketts was rejected last January.
